With 500 points available to the winner both this week and next, technically anybody playing both events could still top the Rankings but Laurie Canter, who currently leads has his fate in his own hands. The winner of the International Swing will gain entry into all of the DP World Tour's Back 9 events. Dean Burmester returns to defend his title, and the Durban Country Club has undergone a significant renovation and the redesign of several holes to present a golf course that's fit for a National Open, making this years Investec South African Open Championship both a new experience for both players and fans, but still steeped in the 122 years of heritage the South African Open has.
